Rick Steve's travel shows on PBS

As you know, I’m always on the lookout for info on Europe but am finding the research task to be daunting....so many books and websites its overwhelming. So imagine my excitement when my boss told me about Rick Steve’s Europe series on PBS-free info on some of the every areas I’m going to!! It includes more than France, although I’ll probably skip those.

I’ve already watched the Provence and Riveria ones; they were good and informative, although in an introductory manner. (unfortunately I missed the Burgundy one!!!!) But good news-from the Complete Guide to all 83 episodes you can also read a script of each episode, should you have missed one.

But for those of you who prefer to watch vs read, go here for your local airtimes. (for us St. Louisians, it on very early-like 5:30am-thank god for DVRs!!!!)

Happy learning!

Are you going to Alsace? If so, I've got some family connections there. My great-great-grandmother on my dad's side was a Gisselbrecht from Alsace. If you meet anyone with the surnames Burrus or Gisselbrecht, they are probably distant cousins of mine.

We haven't laid out the entire plan yet-its an option though.

Should I just knock on the door with a sleeping bag? ;)
